Payroll included — not an add-on

Humanforce Payroll is included in the core platform — covering AU award interpretation, STP Phase 2, superannuation, and NZ payroll. Deputy Payroll launched in June 2025 and is an additional paid subscription, AU-only.

Talent acquisition and 6M+ talent profiles

Humanforce includes a full talent platform with 6M+ profiles, direct sourcing, a recruitment CRM, and volume hiring tools. Deputy does not have talent acquisition capability — hiring tools are limited to basic applicant tracking via the HR add-on.

Earned wage access and recognition

Humanforce Thrive gives employees on-demand access to their pay, plus perks and peer recognition. Deputy does not offer earned wage access or an employee benefits platform.

People and workforce analytics included

Humanforce includes people analytics (retention risk, engagement insights) and workforce analytics (demand patterns, cost forecasting) as standard. Deputy's advanced analytics require a separate paid add-on.

Underpayment risk alerts

Humanforce includes proactive underpayment alerts built into the compliance engine — flagging potential issues at the scheduling stage, before timesheets are submitted. This capability is not available in Deputy.

AU and NZ payroll in one platform

Humanforce supports both Australian and New Zealand payroll natively. Deputy Payroll is currently available in Australia only — businesses operating in both markets would need a separate NZ payroll solution alongside Deputy.
